U.S. CAPITOL
My office is happy to coordinate and guide you in a tour of the U.S. Capitol, Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. You may also schedule a tour yourself by making a reservation with the Capitol Visitor Center (CVC) at www.visitthecapitol.gov. The CVC offers tours of the U.S. Capitol from 8:50 a.m. to 3:20 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Please note that while reserving ahead of time is not necessary, reserving a tour through my office or the CVC is the only guarantee that a tour will be available on the day of your visit.
WHITE HOUSE
The White House offers self-guided tours from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. While tours are awarded on a first come first serve basis, many can not be accommodated due to high demand, particularly during spring and summer months and holiday weekends. After submitting a request, you will hear from my office approximately two to three weeks before your requested tour date(s). We recommend requesting tours six months in advance, or with as much advance notice as possible.
BUREAU OF ENGRAVING AND PRINTING
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing offers tours Monday through Friday. Tours last approximately 35 minutes.
SUPREME COURT
Tours consist of a 30 minute lecture in the actual Supreme Court Chamber. Scheduled lectures occur at 2:00 p.m.
NATIONAL ARCHIVES
The National Archives offers guided tours Monday through Friday at 9:45 a.m. Tours typically book one to two months in advance; however, if a guided tour is not available, we will request a self-guided tour with a timed ticket entry for the National Archives instead. Self-guided tours are offered throughout the day, Monday through Saturday.
LIBRARY OF CONGRESS
The Library of Congress offers tours Monday through Friday. Tours last approximately 45 to 60 minutes.
Please include any comments, details that would be helpful in scheduling your tours, or special accommodations that you may need. Tours can run between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. so let me know if certain parts of the day are undesirable.
